We had an excellent experience at Park Issa Vets with our British Shorthair cat, Romeo. He had been suffering from ongoing discomfort in his ear, and after the initial examination we returned for a procedure under sedation. The young vet who treated Romeo on Friday was kind, calm and professional. She cleaned a large amount of impacted wax from his ear while taking great care not to risk damaging his eardrum. Samples were also collected for culture so that antibiotic treatment can be chosen once the results are available. Romeo was much more comfortable afterwards and stopped shaking his head, which was a great relief for us. We were very impressed by the care, professionalism and compassion shown throughout his treatment. Thank you to the whole team at Park Issa Vets for looking after Romeo so well. We really appreciate your kindness and dedication and would happily recommend your practice to other pet owners.

I did recommend a friend who was not happy with her vet and is now very happy changing to Park Issa. The staff who work on reception are so welcoming and friendly. The vets annd nursing staff are next level. Nothing is to much trouble for all staff.

Very disappointing experience — concerns about the waiting area and staff response I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit. Despite there being a designated cat waiting area, dogs were allowed to sit in this area, including two separate dogs who on different occasions tried to jump up at me and get to my cat. This was particularly concerning when trying to keep my cat calm and safe in what should have been an appropriate waiting environment. What was even more disappointing was the apparent lack of concern from the reception staff. They witnessed what was happening but did not appear to take any action or attempt to move the dogs or otherwise make the situation safer for the other animals and owners waiting. There was also an upsetting incident involving a man who appeared unable to control his Staffy and was hitting the dog with a cane. This happened in the reception area, in full view of staff and other clients. The reception staff did not appear to intervene or take any action. Other pets and owners in the waiting room were visibly uncomfortable with what was happening. I appreciate that veterinary practices can be busy and that staff have a difficult job, but I would expect basic consideration for the safety and welfare of the animals and people in the waiting room. The lack of response from reception on both occasions was extremely disappointing. I sincerely hope the practice reviews how the waiting areas are managed and how staff are expected to respond when animals or owners are clearly distressed or at risk.

Fantastic vets, brilliant staff, genuine care given, and even though they have been bought out, they have kept their prices as low as possible. My extremely anxious dog, who has always hated the vets since a puppy due to a bad nail clipping experience at our previous vets, has no issues coming in for his appointments here. Thank you!

When looking after my dog Jellybean, the whole team from administration to nurses to surgeons treated her so well and kept me well informed, unfortunately we had to make the decision for jellybean to be put to sleep and the team went above and beyond for her and myself. I’ve now got her paw prints at the side of my bed and they kindly took a hair clipping for me as I forgot. Thank you for making a hard time a little easier, any future animals we have, our vets will always be park Issa :)

New Foundry and Park Issa Vets Its hard to find the words to tell you what a kind, empathetic, understanding and professional organisation this and their “big vets” in Oswestry is. They have been our beautiful Spaniel Layla’s vets since we moved to the area. Sadly we had to say goodbye to her this week, and the dignified way they handled it was absolutely on point.
